The Mcfadden family are proud farmers and have been farming their own 42 acres of land since the family business was established. This has always enabled them to rear their own pigs and sheep in order to supply their shop and bakery with guaranteed quality local Cornish produce. They provide complete traceability of all livestock from birth to the butcher’s block. They lamb their sheep between October and March and this enables them to have a steady supply of the very best quality lamb throughout the year. They also keep a constant supply of healthy pigs which are traditionally fattened and used for their own shop and Mcfadden’s products. Master butcher and owner Kevin Mcfadden will only purchase the finest quality beef from Truro livestock market every Wednesday. Kevin takes great care in selecting local produce and always ensures that meat is sourced from a high standard of breeding, therefore guaranteeing they have complete traceability for their beef.
