Need help registering a new account?

By registering online you are not just signing up on a website but joining the definitive membership list for Transition Penwith. Here are some guidelines to make the process as smooth as possible.

1) In the username field above DON'T PUT IN A NICKNAME but please, instead, supply both your real first and family names (SPACES ARE ALLOWED so please put a space in between). Also provide a valid email address: we'll use this to send you a validation link containing your password for logging in (don't worry, you can change this password later - instructions will be in the email too).

2) In the Contact Details section below please supply as much information as you can. This information will never be displayed publicly but is for our own records. Remember - we're trying to connect people together so if you want total anonymity this may not be the organisation for you! As a minimum you must put something in the Postcode field. We welcome members from afar who are interested in the activities of Transition Penwith but we are plagued by web robots that are forever putting in fake applications. For this reason if your postcode is outside TR17, TR18, TR19, TR20, TR26, TR27 or TR93 then definitely also fill in the other address fields otherwise your application is likely to be declined.

3) While you're here, select any of the Groups in which you might have an interest. Transition Towns traditionally have a number of themed groups but none of our specialised groups are particularly active at the moment. In Penwith such groups have come and gone ... and sometimes come again! Do express an interest here but don't have huge expectations

3) You can provide some personal information about yourself but this is completely optional.

4) Press the 'Create New Account' button at the bottom of the form.

5) That's it!

Already registered but forgotten your password?

If you've already registered but had forgotten then your User Name and/or e-mail address will be recognised and you won't be able to create a new account. Instead you'll get the message: "The e-mail address x@y is already registered. Have you forgotten your password?". Simply click the link and an e-mail giving you a one-time log in capability will be sent to the previously registered e-mail address. With this you are able to reset your password and then carry on as normal. If the e-mail address that you previously registered is no longer in use then send a message with some kind of convincing explanation to info@transitionpenwith.org.uk and we'll change it for you manually.
